Sorry people, it’s been awhile, I know. All is well, Kip and Bella are doing great, as is mommy. Kip is walking now and Bella is just about potty trained. They are really starting to interact with one another and its really cute and Bella treats him so good....most of the time, you know how kids are. What an amazingly lucky man I am to have this family, I thank the Lord often. Enjoy catching up with the pics.

Everything is great these days. Bella is growing so fast and has quite the conversations, not a day goes by that I am not actually and truly amazed at something she has done or said. Kip is also growing big and quick. He is 8 months old and is wearing 18 month clothing. They are both starting to interact on a regular basis and seem to be enjoying one another. Bella still has moments of "mine" but that’s to be expected.

Wow did summer go fast this year. I suppose it’s the fact that with 2 children and a full business schedule, it’s easy to miss the season.

All is well here except for a little sickness right now with the kiddies. They are strong and are fighting the colds. Kip is rolling over, pushing things away and even turns pages in his books, that’s amazing at 16 weeks. He is still the wonderful happy and quiet baby that he has always been. He is so easy to take care of and his schedule was in place the first week. He is still maintaining the same schedule.

Bella is as active as ever and has started at the "Little Gym" on Saturdays and has started tumbling, dancing and playing to get her used to the activities so when she starts cheering, dancing and ballet, it will come easier.

Time is flying and Kip is too. He is cooing more, starting to smile and licking like crazy when we talk to him. It looks like his hair will be red like Bellas.

Kip is about as great a baby as can be. Basically, he sleeps when you put him down, wakes up when you pick him up and never fusses. It’s funny the contrast between how he is and how Bella was.

Bella has started to better get along with him and accept his presence and play with him as well as show verbal affection.

We are very busy with the children but would not have it any other way. It is amazing how he has changed our lives.

Yes it has been months since I posted anything new, I apologize. As most of you know, we are due with our son Kiprean as Andi is 40 weeks today. He will be here soon and Bella will have a brother to watch over her.

Speaking of Bella, she is as amazing as ever. Her conversations are more and more adult like as the days go by. Her face gestures and inflections are all adult like, its funny to see her act that way. She is able to recognize the alphabet and numbers and can count pretty high and say her entire ABC's, and she is not even 2 yet. Andi is doing a great job with her for sure. I will keep it short as I have homework to do and with the new job being an hour away, I have little time to do it. Enjoy the pics and happy summer.

Spring is near and Bella is dear. How corny, but I had to do something. Speaking of Bella, she’s amazing. I don’t know how she moves so fast in her learning and her skills. Actually, I do, its Andi and her being home and always doing the "instructional play" which is fun for them both and teaches Bella.

Bella is talking in sentences, asking real questions and answering our more difficult questions. She even tells me when she wants to play with mommy alone and asks me to leave. Well, her statement when she wants me to leave is, Bye Bye daddy.

Andi has dropped, so it could be that the Kipster could come early. She would not mind that, as this pregnancy has been rough on her body and her sleep. But whatever is best for Kip is what we want. Enjoy the pics and we will talk to you soon

Its been some time

Hi all,

Its been a while since I posted, but things have been busy. Bella is absolutely amazing. She is really coming into her own. She is at that stage that she repeats everything she hears verbatim.

She is speaking in sentences, is asking questions and telling us what to do now. She gets her own dishes out, helps feed the cats and brushes her hair.

She is quite the dancer. Every day she and Andi come into my office and she wants to dance, she comes in and says, and I am not kidding; Dance, Madonna! She wants Madonna on the CD player and then she kicks her feet, sways side to side while walking and dances. If I put on the wrong song, she says, no, no, Madonna. Its awesome.

Andi is really showing, I think she is almost as big as she was when at full term with Bella...That's my boy Kip!! She has been great with carrying and taking care of Bella. She is doing a great mothering, I am so lucky that its so natural for her to be a mother.

That's right folks, you are looking at the first picture of Kiprean Kuhn. Its official that we are having a boy. The picture is a 3d image and is not as clear as we would like as the imaging takes in some of the fluids as body mass and makes him look a little alien. But hes not.

Bella is becoming her own person and at times is like a little adult with what she says and does. Not quite complete sentences, but certainly putting words together and holding conversations.

We find out in 2 days the confirmed sex of the new baby. Of course we are fairly sure that’s it’s a boy, we still have not bought and boy stuff yet. We did get his room all set up and ready to go. I can’t wait, whether a boy or a girl. I can’t help thinking Bella will be like my sister was with my brother and I; changing our diapers when she was only 3 and helping feed us.

Can you believe it’s already January 10th? It seems like Christmas was a month ago. We all hop that you all have great 2009.

What a Christmas!! We were very busy and Bella was showered with gifts, mostly by us as we went well overboard, but she is our baby.

Isabella was happy and loved all of the people and the busy pace most of the time. Andi was great at keeping her happy and comfortable in the stressful times, as usual.

Andi's sister Jenny and her husband Micah were in for a week and stayed. They were both a big hit to Bella; she loved them and was not shy about showing it.

Andi and I are both so happy that Bella is so well adjusted, compassionate, friendly and loving before all else. Those are traits that I know we will have to fight hard to keep those her first reactions as the years go by, but we know she has them in her now.

We hope all of you had a great holiday and continue through to an amazing 2009.

Holidays are upon us

This time of year is so great to have children. They are so pure and excitable, yet still a bit unsure of why they are being awarded gifts. The wonderment I guess is what gets me, I love it.

It’s been quite a year and with the new one coming next year offers even more. I guess I need to change the name of this blog rather than starting another one. Hmm, I will have to put some thought into this I guess.

Anyway, Bella is saying new words practically every second. It’s crazy. You ask her to say something and she does no struggle at all. It’s amazing to watch the words come out of her mouth for the first time.

The pics show Bella on a piece of furniture we had made to fit our space and Bella loves it. Also, the tricycle was a gift from Grandma Sandy and the other is when we were out the other night with Bella in her toggle coat and furry boots.

Andi, Bella and I wish you all a very happy and family oriented holiday season and don’t forget to keep Christ in Christmas, it’s the reason we celebrate.

Oh boy, oh "BOY"!!!!!

We are not 100% sure but it certainly looks like we will be having a boy. It’s not confirmed, but I have to say, I know what a boy looks like and it was pretty darn clear. We are psyched either way and ready for our new addition to the family.

Bella is of course, as usual, growing like crazy. Her speaking has gotten just about to conversational. Really, at 17 months she putting 3-4 words together and annunciating extremely well. She is eating with a spoon, when she wants, and doing what she wants where she wants in the house.

Bella also gets along so well with other little people. She loves other children and is always very happy when they are around.

We picked out our tree today, a big 13 footer which when decorated I will post a pic with it and Bella.

That’s right, Isabella is a COW!!! I jest; she only dressed as one for Halloween. Bella has of course been growing leaps and bounds. The Dr asked if she could stack things on top of each other. She is already screwing on and off caps, climbing stairs, putting the right shapes through the right holes and identifying a dozen animals and their sounds. All that at 16 months.

Andi's training in the child physcotherapy field really helps Bella learn as she knows how to get children to figure out that they want to do things themselves and how to do things themselves. I am lucky in so many ways. Truth be told, I have felt this way since I meant Andi, Bella is the next step in being blessed. I feel guilty asking the Lord for anything else.

We moved Isabella to a toddler bed a few weeks ago and she has taken to it in one day. She even climbs in herself at bedtime and lies down. I think it is the independence that it gives her, making her room truly her room.

I am burying this as I want to be cautious, but we are 8 weeks pregnant with Bella’s sibling. We will keep you all posted.

Other than the above, things are moving along quickly with Isabella. Not a day goes by that she does not do something that makes Andi and I look at each other with big saucer eyes and wonder how she learned to do that.

That’s right folks, were expecting again. We are 5 weeks into to the pregnancy and while I was initially going to hold back the announcement considering what happened last time, I decided to announce it and ask that all of you pray for the health and safety of Andi and the child.

Bella will be so excited as she loves other children. And speaking of Ms. Isabella Eve Kuhn, she is such a wonder. Her words are now developing into 2 word groups and she understands so much of what we say. We are told by the Dr's that her development is off the charts compared to her age.

Andi spends all day with her making sure she is be interacted with and learning and having fun at the same time. I know this is why she is so far ahead. While it’s tough financially with Andi staying home, I would not trade it for anything.

Isabella is starting to realize that the Dr's visits are not fun. Even our Dr's appointments upset her now. I guess all kids go through this.

Its funny, I don’t remember any of this as a child and as I watch Bella enjoy her day and have fun and learn, I wonder how much of this or us she will remember when she gets older. So much of what has been happening with her at this age is so very important to Andi and I and to her now, I just wonder if she will realize it when she is older.

Funny how we grow isn’t it.

Better late than never

Hey all, sorry for the delay lately, its been busy and time is tight. Bella as you can imagine is growing very fast and speaking more and more. We have actually stopped counting words, I think we ended at about 70 as sometimes you only have to say it once.

She runs, walks, dances, try's head stands, hides, sneaks, whispers and screams and every day we find out something else she likes to do.

Isabella has brought such an amazing light into our lives. She is so very much of our entire day and night. I said it before, but its so true, what a difference of priorities even now from a year ago. Life is good and Bella and her mother Andi, my beautiful wife, are the reasons why.

Summers almost gone

We had a great summer with Isabella. She has grown amazingly in so many ways, yet she is still our little baby girl.

Bella has her molars, speaks about 50-60 words and repeats after one request. She is understanding what things are when you point them out and knows when it is time to go to bed and does quite a good stall job. She is so funny at night running around trying to make us laugh so she does not have to go to bed. Its really funny and quite a joy.

Her social skills must have been instilled in her since birth as she stepped into that role without an issue. We visit the park a few times a week and she loves other kids..especially boys....and it starts already with the boys....I know, its inevitable a cutey like her, but as a dad, I don't have to like it..:-)....I'm kidding of course. But you understand.

Isabella has simply made a new life for us and we are so exited every day to see what she will bring us as the day goes on. The time has gone so fast and she is growing daily, It makes me think why we stop growing so obviously when we get older. Andi and I are hoping to foster Bella's yearning for growth for her entire life, but especially as she grows into a toddler then to a tween, teenager, young adult and then as an adult. It is so important for her growth as a person to be supported in every way and allow her to make mistakes and learn from them.

Thats where I find it tough. I am still so over protective and afraid of her falling and getting hurt, its tough for me to let go and watch her stumble down a step, over an obstacle or go down a slide without wanting to grab her or have my hands inches from her head....just in case. Andi has been great allowing Bella to find her way and keeping me out of her way. It is clear that it is working as fast as she is picking up skills.

I can say that as Bella grows we have been growing individually and as a family, lets pray that the benefits of Isabella being our daughter and we being her parents last our lifetime. Its quite a thought to imagine and one that I am looking forward to being a part of.

13 Months and cuter than ever

Thats right, Isabella is 13 months old, I cant believe it. It seems like it was last week that we were watching her lips and tough move in their own, (you know how the little babies always move their tongue) and she was barely making a noise. Boy have things changed.

Almost the week she turned 1 year old she started walking. A little here and a little there and within one week she is at full strides and walks all the time now. We actually walk outside on a golf course (soft and wide open) and she can go for quite a way without tiring.

Isabella has Mama and Dada down pat and uses it very well. She is starting to understand who to go to in different situations. I know I am a doting, happy, proud daddy, but Bella is really in tune with her surroundings (I mean smart but don't want to seem bragacious) and absolutely knows when we are trying to hide something from her. We cant say the word bottle as she will want one no matter the time or place so we have to spell it out B-O-T-T-L-E. She knows where she is and who is going to be there when we arrive, knows the words trees and what they actually are, colors (yellow is her favorite) bamboo, baby, Girls, Boy and many others but the Elephant is my favorite. She actually makes the noise and raises her arm like its a trunk in front of her.

She eats what we eat now almost exclusively and when she does get a bottle its all whole milk, the formula is done. She is a bit picky about what she eats, but we have not resorted to fast food or junk yet, but I have to say, she is picky. I guess all kids are.

Ok, I know, I go on and on, but she is developing so incredibly fast and as a Dada I am so amazed and proud. And I cant go a post without praising my amazing wife Andi and her 24 hour a day dedication to Bella. Andi is a stay at home mom, but I would never say she does not work. I honestly would be in bad shape if I had to do what she does every day and night and actually be happy and up while doing it.

I have no doubt in my mind that the days and days of parental support and guidance will build Bella into a well rounded trusting child that knows she is loved my her parents. I certainly wish that for her and thank Andi for dedicating her life to our family and raising Bella. I love them both so much and am so blessed.

Unfortunately I have to go out of town next month for 4 days and I am already really uncomfortable and stressed because Bella has a real Dada thing going on and she really gets upset if I am gone too long. I am already hurting very badly about it and do not look forward to the trip at all. I know Andi will have her hands full, but I am 100% confident she will keep Bella calm and happy.....as she always does.

As the next few weeks come and go I cannot wait to see how Bella grows and creates even more joy in our lives. What an amazing child, a child that Andi and I love with all of our hearts and souls and cant wait to see what each day with her gives our family.

Its been some time since I posted. My big camera has been in the shop for 3 weeks...don't ask.

Bella is really coming into her own. She is starting to use other words and sounds and almost daily makes a new sound or "word" and is walking 4-6 steps at a time now.

We have her almost completely off of Formula and she is pretty much sleeping from 8PM to 7AM without waking up. She is so energetic and its hard to hold her sometimes because she wants to run around and get crazy....its great.

She is hot and cold with the pool, sometimes loves it sometimes not but we are enjoying it. We installed a swing out back as she loves to swing at the park, so now she has her own swing.

The summer has kept us busy at the new house with yard work, the pool, cleaning, gardening, changing around things our way and such and Bella is loving every second.

We have been in our home for almost a month now and today was the first time we went into to pool. Bella liked it, but not quite loving it yet. We have a raft for her, but she is not quite comfortable enough in it yet.

She is starting to take a step here and there and she would rather walk on her hands and feet rather than crawl. She will be walking within a week or so I am sure.

We are really loving the new home and the space. Bella has a ton of space to play but always seems to find the place where she should not be. She so adorable.

Bella is growing so fast, here are a few pics from today, isn't she adorable. She says Mama, Papa and just started saying baby. She knows when she pushed the red button on the wall in the garage, the door opens and also it closes. She knows how to turn the ceiling fans on by pulling the chains.

Her bath has changed, she hates to sit down at all now. I chalk it up to the fact that she is weeks away from walking.

By the way, she is now 11 months and a few days, amazingly fast.

Bellas first trip to the local park was allot of fun. She really ,loves other children and smiles from ear to ear and try's to talk.

The ducks on the other hand she is not so fond of. All is well here in the booming metropolis of Lancaster and we are pretty much settled into our new home.

Bella has 4 teeth upstairs and 3 teeth downstairs and is really teething these days. Sleep is good, bit not real consistent.

She is really a person now and since I am not always here, when I am she really wants to be with me. That is except when she is scared or upset and then its mommy's comfort she looks for.

I do love the smile that I get when I walk in the door, It melts me away.

Isabella is getting a new home

Thats right folks, were moving to Lancaster PA on May 9th. We have a new home that we can raise Bella in with a yard, pool and finally QUIET. Yes we have appreciated the city, but since Bella came into our lives, it has grown less and less appealing. Its time to go home, back to Central PA, close to family. Bella's Grand Mothers are both within a quick drive and most of the rest of the family is as well.

We have been taking Bella out quite often, she loves people. The pics were are Franklin Park in the City a few blocks from our home where she likes to swing.

We are excited to move and will let you all know our new contact information as we get it compiled.

Bella is of course growing quickly. Not a day goes by that she does not do something that she has not done before. I am excited to see her reaction with a big living room and play room to call her own.

It has been awhile

Hey all, sorry that its been so long since I wrote but don't think that Bella has stopped amazing us, because she has not.

Isabella now has 6 teeth, 3 on top and 3 below and LOVES to use them. She is eating with her hands, sometimes with a utensil and is eating "our" food now.

She is starting to notice connections between things. For instance, she knows when she hits the ceiling fan button, she looks up and points and laughs. Already at 9 months, its amazing to see he put things like that together.

She is pulling herself to stand with ease, she will probably be walking shortly. She is crawling like a champ, no more back wiggle to get around.

Bella is pointing and clapping and is starting to learn bye bye for me in the mornings when I leave for work.

She's a smart one for sure. Her sounds are all over the place she is using a ton of unique sounds and noises and knows when to use them. I can already tell that she knows how to get attention. She has the cutest little cough when she wants your attention. (the 1 second a day that she does not already have it.

Every day we just love her more and more, it is amazing that we have this beautiful being that is so special and amazing. I cant wait until she is older and starts talking to us.

My most exciting anticipation is her running up to me when I come home from work and she comes running and yelling Daddy!!!

Bella popped a top tooth today, that in number 4 already. She is starting to eat more real food. We are limiting it very much, but we are slowly introducing foods.

Yep, 3 teeth and counting, and I mean counting LOUDLY. Wow is she uncomfortable with those teeth coming in. Andi and I always say we wish we could take that pain for her.

Isabella is such a joy to be with and love. There are times I honestly cannot believe that we made her. I look at her when she is looking at me and it’s truly amazing how much she makes me feel, It is so true how your whole existence becomes about your children. Every idea, thoughts, move, change, everything has them in it. It’s so great to be so involved and so open naturally to being this way.

Bella is in pain quite a bit but still manages to be happy most of her time. It’s also fun to take her out as she is like a rock star in the neighborhood. People are constantly sticking their faces in front of her and talking about how beautiful she is and go on and on. She is a beauty for sure.

Well, that’s it for now we are going to spend a little time outside with our baby girl this weekend.

As most of you know, we lost the new pregnancy due to a burst ectopic pregnancy. It was a scary time and quite painful for Andi.

We are emotionally ok with it now because we know that God has a plan and we are so grateful for Isabella and the joy that she has brought into our lives.

Speaking of Bella, she is doing great. She is starting to pull herself up to a standing position and she loves to do sit up with us holding her legs. Its funny, we keep saying that she will have abs of steel.

She also loves making noises and banging things around, especially into her forehead. She is growing fast and growing big. She is still thin but tall. Healthy and Happy, just like we like her. Andi is doing great and loving her time with Bella.

Well, that is what Andi and I have been saying for the past month and now, we are pregnant again. Thats right folks, baby number 2 and Bella will be 15 months apart. We are quite excited and are already planning names and furniture, not necessarily in that order.

Bella is moving along fabulously. She is turning pages in books as Andi reads to her, she rolls over and back with ease, eats 3 full spoon fed meals a day and is as vocal as she has ever been. All that at 7 months.

Andi is spending all day every day with her which I feel will really have a positive affect on her learning curve and he ability to understand things quicker. Andi's patience and tireless caring blows me away. She is up at least once per night and from 7 AM until 10PM and is constantly with Bella, going and going. Thank goodness we she is able to stay home.

Bella is getting out very often now and is fabulous in public whether in a seat, stroller or in our arms, its really great. We get so many people walking up amazed at her cuteness and her eyes, and go on and on. We are proud parents and know our baby is beautiful but the comments are non stop. We are happy either way.

The new year and going strong

Bella is growing leaps and bounds. She has been talking up a storm, well, not really talking, but trying for sure. She is aware of everything and is starting to really look at things in detail and turn them around and over.

She is 27 inches long and 16 lbs. She is 50% in the weigh and size of her head and is 95% in height. Long and lean....and beautiful as well.

We have been tinkering with the print add and commercial idea for her. With my contacts in the film world, we have started the ball rolling SLOWLY and are looking at opportunities. Not sure if we will do it, but we are entertaining the idea.

Isabella has been traveling tremendously well and has been a fantastic child for almost 7 months now. She did get her first tooth, the lower middle and is getting the top middle now. Her teething makes us feel so bad for her, especially when you cant do anything to make her feel better.

She passed with flying colors. Isabella made her first Christmas Holiday an enjoyable one. She traveled exceptionally well and was very patient with the long hours on the road and her schedule changes.

She was a great paper ripper and opened all of her gifts herself. She got lots of toys, LOTS! We are running out of areas to put it here in the house.

Its almost Christmas, the time of year we come together as a family and celebrate. This year we are fortunate and blessed to be sharing it with our little angel Bella.

Being a Family is something that Andi and I have long waited for and are thrilled to be able to even say "Our Family". Isabella is a true God send. Being Christmas, I really want thank God for our fortune.

Our Babys Growing

I know its been awhile since I wrote. I was in Michigan for the last 6 days and it was a very tough time as it was the first time I was away from my family,(I love being able to say my "Family")and the adjustment was much more difficult than I thought it would be. The good news is I am back.

Bella is growing quick. While I was gone she started forming whole sounds instead of just one syllable sounds. She is starting to grow a bit more hair and is really aware of everything around her. Our baby is becoming a little girl that knows who we are and reacts when we engage her. I am never leaving again, or at least I don't want to.

We have the tree up and Bella, surprisingly could care less about the ornaments and the lights, but she loves the green.

Andi has started feeding her in the morning with a spoon. She started with the veggies for a few weeks and yesterday she tried all of the fruit, but Bella hates them. Thats ok with me, eat the veggies and learn to like them.

Isabella is growing leaps and bounds in both size and skill. She is rolling over, eating from a spoon, talking up a storm. I cant understand what she is saying yet, but she is yapping like crazy.

Andi has her on a good schedule and it seems to be coming something Bella prepares for. She is napping on a regular basis, getting up, going to sleep and playing on consistent intervals.

Bella is a dream, it is so amazing to see her develop and start to understand emotion and facial expressions. I cant wait until I can start having conversations with her where she understands me and reacts.

We are looking forward to the holidays with her and, oh boy, the ideas of pictures I have....

Wow, its been a long time

Sorry everyone, I know its been awhile. No excuses. Bella is growing leaps and bounds. In the last 20 days, she has rolled over and does it quite easily now. She is eating rice with her last bottle before bed and is starting to make new sounds that we have not heard before.

We had changed formula to a hypoallergenic type and she is a different baby now. So happy all the time and such a joy. Andi continues to be a great mom taking care of her and reading to her every day. It can feel like a chore, but she does it without comment. I am lucky.

Other than that, we are thinking about moving back to Central PA, Lancaster probably. Bella needs the atmosphere that Central PA offers. Good schools, low crime and big yards with lots of trees.

3 Months and getting better every day

Bella is growing and maturing so fast. She has found her hands, loves to suck on them. She is able to hold onto a rattle (soft ones as she bangs herself in the head at times) and is reacting virtually every interaction that we have.

Andi is doing very well with the growing and changing and amazes me that she never gets frustrated. Its amazing to be with Bella all day and night as she is, and still be happy and up all the time. She is a full blown mother to be sure.

Lately Bella has been getting up again every 3 hours to feed. She was on a very predictable schedule for about the past 5 weeks, slept 6 hours a night. We are being told its a growth spurt. Not sure what to expect, but that ok. All part of being parents.

These are a few recent pics of Bella, today actually. There is one with Andi pushing Bella in the stroller and the big blue Mercedes behind her is her new family trukster that we got for her and Bella. No more 2 seater for her. The 2 with Andis dad and my dad are about a month old.

Bella has been growing leaps and bounds since the last post. She is partially turning over, starting to hold onto items and responding to our voices to name a few. It has just been great, yeah, we have our fussy moments, but compared to what I hear from others, we are very lucky.

I love coming home, I walk in the door and Andi has a smile on her face from ear to ear, E V E R Y S I N G L E D A Y. Yes, every day, its a true testament to how much Bella has impacted our lives.

Isabella's first trip to the park

We went for a fairly long walk today and visited the new Franklin Square Park for a little relaxation. It went well, Bella was very interested in the leaves and the trees and the birds. Her mind seems to be very quick.

We got home and I was getting her ready for her bath while Andi ran the water. I sat down with her and she had no diaper on as we were waiting for Andi to let us know when the water was at the right temp when she peed. My first reaction was to jump up and go to the changing table a few feet away. I did it so quick that Bella was scared and started wailing so hard. I was so upset and didn't know what to do. Andi and I were both upset. I hope she doesn't equate this trauma to her peeing. Needless to say, I am waiting now to see when she goes next to make sure that she is ok. I would do anything for Isabella, I pray she is ok. Here are a few pics from today.

Almost 10 weeks

Things are really moving along fast. It is amazing how Isabella changes daily both physically and developmentally. She is cooing quite a bit now, almost on demand which I hear is a good indication of her development progress.

She is getting exposed to the outside world now quite often. She has been to a few nice restaurants, most of the families homes and all over Old City Philadelphia in her pink Bugaboo. We always try to prepare when we go out but its not always easy. I told Andi I didn't want to become one of those sloppy dads who have food on his chest and spit-up on his shoulder all the time, well, I am here to tell you, that is allot harder to achieve than I would have ever imagined. Thank goodness for Shout wipes.

Bella had her 4 shots this week. I tell you now, I don't ever want to go through that again. To see her tears flowing like that just breaks my heart and I feel so helpless. Andi did a great job of comforting her just after, but it was really tough.

With such an innocent way about her, I can't imagine her being a teenager or an adult that has to deal with the cruelties of the world, mean students, idiot guys and the like. It is just too hard to see in the minds eye and I just don't want to think about it, but I cant help it.

Its amazing how having a child brings you back through your own life in ways like never before. You think about moments that were locked away for a long time and you want to make sure that Bella sees what you saw, feels what you felt and is as happy as you were (shout out to the family).

Everyone keeps asking me how I like being a father, well everyone out there, I LOVE IT. I cant get enough. There are times at the office, I just sit back and watch her video, look at her pictures and just smile ear to ear. And quite often I tear up while thinking about her. Its a feeling that I have never had before, a lifting sence that takes you so high that truly nothing else matters. Isabella has brought so much into our lives that its amazing. I owe so much to her, and she is only 9 weeks. I am so grateful to have Andi and Bella as my family, truly a dream….truly.

Once again, I am going to sing the praises of Andi and her patience. Isabella has been fussy quite a bit lately. In the past few days, she barely sleeps during the day, which isn't bad at night, but during the day, whew.

Andi handles this in stride, no issue at all. I get all anxious because I can't quell her at all. It really a tough thing for sure, especially when you are trying to work.

Anyway, a few more quite pics are attached. I wanted to say also that we get emails and phone calls from many friends and family asking when we are posting more pics, well I am going to do this for many years to come as this is a record for Bella.

7 WEEKS.....LOOK AT THAT RED HAIR

Things are moving fast and Bella is growing everyday in everyway. She is now 21 inches and 9.1lbs. She is a handful to be sure, but again, Andi has been the picture of patience in those matters. I take my shifts and try to spend as much quality time as possible with her.

Time is tough right now, bunch of big transaction in disparate locations and shooting producing a film and trying to get home to be with Mom and Baby. Its a challenge. Well worth the trip however.

Isabella is starting to react and notice us. She smiles quite a bit, but its been tough getting it on film as they come at un-opportune times. Its quite amazing to come in the door after a long day, and in 5 mins, our baby is making me feel welcome and loved like never before. I already am protective of her.

As usual, Andi has been great, I worry that she does not get out enough, but when I get home and she has a "real" ear to ear grin, I know I don't have to worry. If you know Andi well, you know that her truly happy smiles are different that her everyday smiles. I love coming home to such a happy home.

I know that it has been about 15 days since my last post. Well you wait was worth it as I am going to post 4 pics just for you.

All has really been going well. Sleeping is for the most part on schedule...NONE! Well, not really, she has been sort of getting there. Its all part of being parents and learning how to do the things that we do.

Being a father has been more than I expected. I have been caught off guard and questioned my fatherly abilities at 3:30 in the morning when I really had a hard time getting up to feed her. I am told that everyone goes through this for sure.

It is amazing how much she takes away from our stress and our madness of the day. After a hard days work I come home and just look at Isabella and everything just goes away. It truly is amazing and I think about when I was a baby and how my mom must of felt with 2 of us (I'm a twin).

A good friend and Isabella to be Godfather, said it so simple; "no matter how your day went, what stresses you are under, you hold Isabella and you know that God is at work and you have been blessed" You cant really ask for more than that can you.

Andi has been amazing. I know I keep saying that, but to get up 2-3 times a night to feed and then be with her all day without once ever asking me to take over amazes me. I always hear that when my guy friends come home the wife needs a break, well not Andi, she wants to keep going. I am blessed to have 2 amazing woman in my life everyday.

First Captured Smile...2 Weeks and 3 Days

Capturing all of the subtle facial expressions is tough, you practically have to walk around with a camera strapped to your eye. We got the first smile though, its so adorable I cant stand it.

Things have been going well, and I say that because we are so grateful and blessed to have Isabella in our lives. Yes we have had sleepless nights, crying for an hour, she does not want to sleep (except during the day), but that's all ok. I realize that in some way shape or form, this will be our life for the next 18 years or more. Whenever Bella is fussy and crying and I cant get her to stop, I don't get anxious, I just hold her and let her feel my calm and my love and hopefully that will seep deep inside of her and it will bond us forever.

Andi is really doing well. She is lacking sleep as is to be expected, but she is really taking control, in fact its tough sometimes to get daddy time..:-). I can never get enough anyway.

I think that maybe today, we might go for a short ride with Bella to get all of us out of the house. Andi has left once since she gave birth almost 3 weeks ago. She and Bella need the outside experience.

1 Week and 3 days and all is well

So far so good. We have had a few tough spots but nothing major to speak of. We are blessed for sure.

I just spend the time that I have with her staring at her and shaking my head in disbelief. I guess its the long years of trying and finally its here. Here are pics of mommy and daddy with Isabella.

Day 3.....

What an amazing ride so far and every day it gets even more exciting. It has been a challenge for Andi a few times with the breast feeding, but she has been the picture of patience. I get frustrated and walk in circles, she just sits there for 30-40 mins until Isabella decides she wants to eat.

The first 2 days were rough on Andi. No sleep because of pain and our then roommates. They were nice people but they had this body spray that smelled up not only the room but the hallway and it was almost unbearable. For those of you that know me well, it was all I could do from taking that can of spray and throwing it out the window. Calmer heads prevailed. Anyway, Andi was really tired and frustrated the second night and the next morning was completely exhausted. I took Bella and let Andi get about 30 mins of sleep, which was tough, because she has already started getting protective. If Bella even peeps, she's up and asking if she is ok, its so sweet.

We finally got transferred to a private room with tons of room and plenty of chairs. I again took Isabella and Andi napped for another 30 mins and then took a shower and cleaned up. She said she felt like a new person. After that, the whole day went like clockwork with Bella feeding, Andi snoozing and such, it was great.

Andi is starting to get a little overwhelmed with all of the guests and as of today we have asked that no more guests come. She really wants to just bond with Bella and relax before she comes home tomorrow. To all of you out there who were planning on coming in, we apologize. There will be many opportunities to come.

As a father, I can see that getting time with Isabella will certainly be a challenge as Andi is poised to be the perfect mother and is well on her way. Truth be told, and I told her this too. She totally impressed me with this whole process. She puts aside her own ridiculous pain to hold and feed Bella. She wont even take pain medication to ease the serious pain because she wants to be alert and keep the narcotics out of her breast milk. She is really quite amazing as a mother. It has been an honor to see my wife become a mother and really take to it so well. I am truly blessed with both Andi and Bella and this entire process has been something that I will never forget.

1 WEEK TO GO!!!

That's right, one more week and Isabella enters this world and becomes our little pumpkin. I am thrilled to tears and cannot wait to meet her. The past few weeks both Andi and I have become so anxious to just meet her. I cant wait.

Fathers day just passed without much fanfare in our household, but don't think for a moment that I wasn't imagining Bella coming home from school with a Fathers Day card that she crafted in school just for me. The unconditional, admiring love that comes form a child is something that I have been waiting for in Bella since we found out we were having a child.

Andi is feeling a bit tight in the belly, but that is to be expected of course, but she still looks amazing for sure. I have posted 2 pics that I took today, 1 week prior to our due date. She looks amazing doesn't she....she does..

I will keep the posts going on for quite awhile. My goal is to create a path to her birth and a record, from my perspective thereafter, so that someday, I can publish this for her and she will know the love that was wrapped around her from the moment she was conceived. Thank you again everyone for your warm comments and thoughts. The next time I post, it will be with baby pictures....:-0.

5 more weeks!!!

Wow, crazy to think that in 5 weeks I will be Daddy. Blows my mind. Andi is feeling great as usual (were blessed) but is lacking sleep. This weekend may help as we are heading to the shore for 2 days at the in-laws and then to my mothers house for a cookout on Monday. If she does not get rest this weekend, the travel should knock her out.

I am getting to the point where I am starting to worry about having everything we need and should have. How many bottles do we need, the pacifiers, how many changing table covers do we need, ect. Its not something that is intuitive you know. I mean, what if Bella pees the bed 6 nights in a row, I NEED 6 SHEETS! That's nuts. What if she gets sick on the bumper pad? Do I need 2 of those, and if I do I cant get one that matches the bed set because it comes as a set. And what about how long I have to wait to show her off in the Bugaboo, 3 weeks, 6 weeks, 2 months? The opinions are all over the place with regards to what's rights, what's wrong, when this , how that. I guess at the end of the day that's what this is all about, exploration and finding your way with your own child's needs.

Truth be told, I am so ridiculously excited that its out of character for me. If my staff could see me they would not recognize me at all. We have a life, a precious being that we will be molding and educating into a young girl and she is directly from us. It really is an amazing thing to see first hand. Everyone sees pregnant woman and they ask all the questions but to watch your wife's stomach grow and all the time knowing that your baby is the reason why is so profound. I truly just sit here sometimes looking at Andi lying down and shaking my head and tearing up because I cannot believe that our baby is becoming our daughter. I imagine that allot of guys go through this, BUT YOU WOULD NEVER KNOW IT....I know, I know, it is truly all about mommy during the pregnancy.

34 Weeks 2 Days and Counting

Were well on our way and you can tell by the pics, so is Isabella. She is 4.5lbs and at the 34%ile. This is fantastic, as it looks as if she will be a normal size. We were readying ourselves for a behemoth...just like daddy. Now at least we know all of the clothes that we bought for a newborn will fit.

She is still breach and we scheduled the C section for June 27th @ 2:00PM. If Bella turns prior to, the C will be canceled. Andi is anxious to go through natural childbirth. Its funny what people say when they find out, "at least her head will be nice and round". Well, that happens to be true, no cone head. Although, to be honest, it does not matter, she will be loved and adored for the rest of her life regardless.

I have to say, time is flying so fast, its crazy to think that in 7 weeks I will be a father with fatherly responsibilities. Whenever I see a father and a daughter or I see a fatherly commercial, I get choked up thinking about when Bella looks at me that certain way, or she comes running sweetly screaming DADDY when I walk in this door after work.

These are the things that I live for. Sure, the diaper changes, lack of sleep and no flexibility in our schedules will be tough, but so what. I have been through allot of tough stuff in my life and it all was based on me and my needs. For Bella, it will be a pleasure to "sacrifice" as people say, but I don't see it that way. Its for her healthy growth and healthy home, so its not a chore its a pleasure.

I actually brought the video camera to the ultrasound today but they would not let me film for legal reasons so you are stuck with the pics that I scanned in.

Another great weekend

What a great weekend it was again. We only have a short period of time left with the convertible so we are taking advantage as much as possible. We did some shopping again today and it turned out as usual, we only bought for Isabella.

Everyone tells us not to buy anything because we will get more than we will ever use as gifts. Somehow though we think we will be different. That really cute seersucker bathing suit, the floral Sunday dress, the baby UGG boots and the adorable hats are all just right for our girl. Its really crazy how many nice pieces of clothing she has. I would say a good 40-50 pieces including a half a dozen shoes, hats, socks, onsies, shirts, skirts, t-shirts and on and on.

I guess that when its your child you want everything for them. In our case and especially in mine, everything that I see that is adorable, I want to get for Isabella ALL OF IT! Its funny, we used to spend weekends buying stuff for the house, clothing for us and gifts, now its purely for our baby girl.

To me, I can tell that my psyche is changing. I can feel my whole self, mind, and soul truly transforming to the daddy status. It is fantastic to be in this state for the first time in my life, and its also a bit intimidating. I think about the beginning years, the years where she starts getting her own ideas and hoping that they are good and safe ones. Then I think about the first date, the learners permit and the first time she takes the car out by herself and when her heart gets broken by some knucklehead kid that I didn’t like in the first place and she comes to me with, "why Daddy". I suppose I am not alone in this, but it is all so real. Don’t get me wrong, I am looking forward to all of it with great anticipation and excitement. The fatherhood mode is a fast growing realization and mental state that I feel inside of me strengthening every day. I love it.

Andi has matured in that respect faster than I have and I suspect that that is normal as she is carrying our child and is living it 24/7. She has been the picture of joy since we found out and its not just me saying this. Everyone who sees her is always saying, you are glowing, you look amazing….and she does. We are blessed and remind ourselves everyday.

31 Weeks Ultrasound

Well, we found out today that Isabella is breech. At first, I was concerned until the doc told me that it does not impact her health. My wife was a little upset but we are working through the situation together as she really wants a natural birth. Hopefully Isabella will "see the light" and and move in the right direction.
